Cameron is originally from St. Louis, but currently lives in New Orleans where he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Social Work – City, Culture, and Community at Tulane University. His research focus areas include resilience and hyper-marginalized groups. He began working with CEDR in early 2023 where he has assisted with writing and research.

He DJs for college radio at WTUL New Orleans 91.5FM., and his favorite place to grab a bite in New Orleans is Adams Street Grocery.​
