Caroline Contillo

Research Assistant

Caroline recently completed her MS in Disaster Resilience and MSW with a focus on collective trauma through Tulane University. Before attending Tulane, Caroline was involved in climate justice activism in New York, and continues to be involved in the climate movement. During her time with the Consortium for Equitable Disaster Resilience, Caroline has assisted with research and writing, with a focus on community disaster resilience. Her research interests include equitable climate adaptation, disaster collectivism, and environmental emotions.

When not poring over journals and books, Caroline enjoys doing, and is occasionally still terrified by, improv comedy. She lives with her wife and many plants in New York’s Hudson Valley, where she pines for the pork belly sandwich from Killer Po’ Boys in the French Quarter almost every day.
